Life cycle of Life by Pushpita Sengupta

 Life cycle of Life

---- Pushpita Sengupta

It was on my landing day

I was given the name Emilae

When I was a child ,no one was happier than me

Free from all responsibility, only school task burdened me

As soon as I crossed 18 ,I felt what depression is

I wanted only my love ,but her love wanted only degrees

Time came to bid by bachelor life

Became a responsible man after wedding my one and only wife

Slowly years passed ,when completed a century

Fortunately I had an adult son ,who took in charge of all duty .

Now lying in this graveyard, recalling all memories

Am wondering how lovely life is

Life is like the game of ladder and snake

Some acheiving instant succes ,while others are doing silly mistakes.

But graveyard is the final destination for the ones who came

And yes for everyone this is same .

1 teaspoon turmeric powder  ||    1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)||
1 teaspoon garam masala    ||    1 teaspoon coriander powder    ||
1/2 teaspoon fenugreek leaves (optional)    ||    Salt to taste    ||    Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
3 tablespoons oil    ||

Instructions:

1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter. Then, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

2. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for a minute until the raw aroma of garlic disappears.

3. Reduce the heat to low and add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Stir well to coat the onions with the spices.

4. Add the tomato puree and cook until the oil starts to separate from the mixture. This may take around 7-8 minutes.

5. Now, carefully add the boiled eggs to the curry. If desired, make small slits in the eggs to allow the flavours to penetrate. Gently coat the eggs with the curry sauce.

6. Add a cup of water to adjust the consistency of the curry. Cover the pan and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes, allowing the flavours to meld together.

7. Sprinkle garam masala and fenugreek leaves (if using) over the curry. Give it a gentle stir, cover the pan again, and let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.

8. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

9. Serve the egg curry hot with steamed rice, naan bread, or roti for a complete and satisfying meal.

Variations and Tips:

- For a creamier texture, you can add a few tablespoons of coconut milk or heavy cream towards the end of cooking.

Heart Break by Rishika Shaw & Swaraj Paul

Heart Break

---- By Rishika Shaw & Swaraj Paul

 I've been broken

casting blame on the fact that you left me when I wasn't ready

Throwing stones at glass walls I put up to

protect me

Cutting strings to diamond rings that no longer

fit me

Do you blame me?

Do you hate me?

If I am being honest

The ghosts that you left

curse me under their breath

I think my heart is haunted.

It's left me behind, the other half.

Some sound disturb me near my heart,

Thinking of your name, that word always makes me restless.

Field of gathering, fair of enjoying,

That's the best time to express, the heart feeling.

A red rose, bend knees, make that time nervous

your true loving heart, finally kissed me.

Then the ego makes all that days behind,

Blaming each other, made that distance longer.

Maybe not or may yes, still we are in the same heart.

Both tried to express themselves again but,

Trusting each other will not going to happen again.

My heart beats with the name, but

That question 'Do you blame me?' Will not fix the heart again.

Both are still waiting for each other but let the time decide what going to happen.

Who will win the mind or the heart?

Uncountable questions are there, will they solve them together?

Or it's an end, with no happy ending.

In a dreamy garden, together we planted,

Growing happiness, our hearts enchanted.

But one day, a chill sneaked by,

A mistake sprouted, making us sigh.

He, the gardener, with prideful cheer,

Pulled her from the soil, shedding a tear.

Like a wilting rose in the rain,

She crumbled, bearing the pain.

"Do you blame me?" she asked with care,

Like a wounded bird, lost in despair.

His ego stood tall, a wall in the way,

No room for forgiveness, no chance to sway.

The garden's charm faded, irony in sight,

Love once so pure, now lost in the night.

Unanswered questions like seeds in the air,

Will they find a path to mend and repair?

Now, bags are packed, a journey starts,

He knows the destination, but I'm in the dark.

New gardens to find or paths to roam,

The road awaits, our destinies unknown.
